SEMO assistant basketball coach fired for violations

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Southeast Missouri State University announced Wednesday that assistant men's basketball coach Jamie Rosser has been terminated, effective immediately due to violation of university policies and procedures.

Rosser spent six years at Southeast, overseeing the guards and assisting with recruiting, scouting and academic performance.

The university released the following statement from interim Director of Athletics Brady Barke.

"Everyone in athletics is held to a high standard and we expect them to comply with Southeast Missouri State University policies and procedures at all times."

Barke added that the university is working to return the coaching staff to full strength.
