Humanist forum to be held at Carbondale church

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

The next New Humanist Forum is Sunday, November 15 at 12:15 p.m. at The Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship.

Reverend Sarah Richards will present "Religious Humanism in the 21st Century."

Before pursuing Unitarian Universalist ministry, Rev. Richards was an anthropologist on the faculty of the Department of International Health at Boston University.

Rev. Richards will briefly trace the history of religious humanism; reflect on her own theological development; and talk about the place of religious humanism in an increasingly secular society.

The New Humanist Forum is a member-led group devoted to exploring together all the many facets of "what it means to be fully human."

You need not be a Fellowship member to attend. The event is free to the public.

The Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship is at 105 N. Parrish Lane in Carbondale.
