Youth L.E.A.D. class to be held in Paducah

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

The participants for the Youth L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Education, and Development) class for 2015-16 have been selected.

Twenty-six area youth have been chosen to participate in Class #5.

The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Paducah Foundation sponsor the program that targets high school juniors.

The students spend one day a month for five months learning about human needs and service learning, communication and career development, business and economy, law and government, and health care in Paducah and McCracken County.

Members of the class are: Maddy Brown from Community Christian Academy; Layton Estes representing PATCH Home School; Zachary Althouse, Barton Christmas, Bailey Cissell, Brycen Flynn, Joshua Grogan, Robert Hicks, Hallie Poat, Henny Ransdell, Dylan Richard, Sarah Shaikh, Vincent Shiben, Olivia Sin, Will Sivills, Hannah White, and Peighton Wix from McCracken County High School; Olivia Griffin and Karina Romero from St. Mary High School; Will Denton, Hunter Grubbs, John Holtgrewe, Claire Kelly, Jose Roberto dos Remedios, Bryson Wells, and Maddie Ybarzabal of Paducah Tilghman High School.

The selection process includes leadership potential/skills, school activities, community and diversity among schools, ethnicity and gender.

The students will graduate in April of 2016.
