Ethics and Career Survival Seminar offered at Paducah PD

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

Law enforcement officials throughout western Kentucky and southern Illinois are invited to join the Paducah Police Department for an "Ethics and Career Survival" seminar on Wednesday, November 4.

Nationally renowned speaker Dr. Neal Trautman will conduct the training that begins at 8 am at the Murray State University Paducah campus.

Dr. Trautman founded and was the executive director of the National Institute of Ethics, a Congressional award-winning provider of ethics training for law enforcement and corrections officials.

He was also an officer with the Winter Park, Florida Police Department. Dr. Trautman received Decorations of Heroism in 1974 and 1985, and the Police Excellence Award in 1978.

He received a Meritorious Police Duty Medal in 1986.

Dr. Trautman has presented ethics seminars and anti-corruption seminars to foreign governments for the US State Department.

He is being brought to Paducah as part of an on-going commitment to provide officers of the Paducah Police Department with leadership training.

This is the third year for the event.
