Senath, MO residents vote 'no' on mayor appointing police chief

SENATH, MO (KFVS) -

Residents in Senath, Missouri voted "no" to allowing the mayor the power to appoint the police chief.

With all precincts reporting, 84 percent, or 113 votes, were for "no." Twenty-two votes, or 16 percent were for "yes."

The issue deals with the mayor's powers.

If voters were in support of the ordinance, they were asked to check "yes." If opposed, they were asked to check "no."
