GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Marcos Macias defended his 3A individual regional cross country title by winning the Halloween day meet with a time of 16:19.

Last year, Macias became the first male in Graves County High School history to win the regional meet, making this year’s victory two in a row.

The Eagle boys, as a team, finished in fifth place in 3A and qualified for the state meet.

The Lady Eagles, paced by Carley Dowdy and Erica Holt, placed third as a team, behind Daviess County and Owensboro.

The state meets is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. The Lady Eagles will run at 1:30 p.m. EST and the Eagles start at 2:15 p.m. EST.
