Semo soccer moves on to semifinals in Ohio Valley Conference tournament

(KFVS) -

The Semo Redhawks proved that they will weather whatever is thrown their way. 

In a game where the weather was wet and dreary, the woman's soccer team continued to push and fought their way to a victory over Jacksonville State 4 to 3 in 2 overtimes and penalty kicks. 

Scoring for the Redhawks was Maddy Cornell, Christina Rhode, and Jennifer Antonacci.  Sophomore goalie Kindra Lierz was dominate, with 6 saves. 

With this win, the Redhawks move on to the semifinals and will play Tennessee Tech next Friday, November 6th.

    Mookie Betts lined a two-run double off the left-field wall with two outs in the ninth inning, capping a three-run rally that lifted the Boston Red Sox to a 5-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night.
