PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - A Paducah man was arrested and indicted by a grand jury for selling his prescription medication.
Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Department received numerous tips alleging that Joseph Williamson, 63, of Quail Run Court in Paducah, Kentucky, was illegally selling his prescription pain medication.
Detectives also learned that Williamson had an arrest warrant originating from a previous sexual misconduct conviction.
On October 1, detectives went to Williamson's home and spoke to him about the allegations.
During that encounter detectives found and took doses of prescription pain medication from him.
Williamson also admitted to several offenses regarding the prescription pain medication.
He was ultimately arrested on pursuant to a warrant from Graves County stemming from that sexual misconduct conviction.
On October 23, officials presented the investigation to the McCracken County Grand Jury.
Williamson was ultimately indicted for one count of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree and one count of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.
Williamson was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Jail on October 29.
