One person arrested in Kennett, MO drug investigation

KENNETT, MO (KFVS) -

At approximately 12:30 p.m. the Dunklin County Sheriff's Office, together with other law enforcement organizations, executed a search warrant issued by the Dunklin County Prosecutor for "The Store," located at 911 Independence Avenue in Kennett, Mo. 

During the execution of the warrant a number of controlled substances were seized and placed into evidence with the SEMO Drug Task Force.

They were forwarded to the Missouri Highway Patrol Lab for analysis. 

One person has been taken into custody, pending the filing of charges by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office. 

The incident continues to be under investigation by the SEMO Drug Task Force, The United States Postal Service, Missouri Highway Patrol, Homeland Security Personnel, State of Missouri Division of Health and Dangerous Drugs and the Kennett Police Department.

The Store has been part of an ongoing investigation into the dispensing of illegal drugs, with another search warrant being served on October 22.
