Mother, son arrested after marijuana plants found in home

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A woman and her son face charges after police found marijuana plants in their home.

Toni M. Sprouse, 37, of Paducah was cited on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Solomon Dean Sprouse, 18, of Paducah was cited on a charge of cultivating marijuana plants.

Paducah police received a tip about the plants being grown in the home at 1500 block of North 10th Street.

Toni Sprouse told detectives she had a small amount of marijuana in the shed. 

They found a marijuana cigarette, a plastic bag with marijuana, and two marijuana plants growing in separate buckets.

Solomon Sprouse told detectives that he was "just growing them to see if he could."

Both the mother and son were cited and released.
