MARION, IL (KFVS) - Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick wants to make sure you drive safely throughout the Halloween holiday weekend.
Vick says roadside safety checks will be scheduled during both daytime and nighttime hours to encourage safe driving. The checkpoints will be at several different locations throughout Williamson County, with the goal of finding drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Deputies will also focus on seat belt usage and uninsured drivers, Vick said.
Several DUI saturation patrols will also be scheduled through the next few weeks.
