Police investigate possible drug activity at Kennett store

DUNKLIN COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Authorities are investigating possible drug activity at a Kennett convenience store.

Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder reports investigators served a warrant to search The Store located on Independence Avenue.

The search warrant is a result of an on going investigation into the dispensing of illegal drugs.

Holder says investigators found drug related items inside of the store. Those items were removed and will be sent tot he crime lab for analysis.

There were no arrests made when investigators served the warrant.

The Dunklin County Sheriff's Office, along with the SEMO Drug Task Force, the Kennett Police Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the State of Missouri Division of Health and Dangerous Drugs are investigating the incident.
