MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Paducah woman is accused of drunk driving after a crash in a McCracken County cemetery.

Deputies say they responded to the crash just after 5 p.m. inside Woodland Memorial Garden on Old U.S. Highway 45 on Wednesday.

When they arrived they found a Mercedes ML320 SUV about 100 feet inside the cemetery.

Investigators say Anita Ross, 53, of Paducah, was driving the SUV on Lovelaceville Florance State Road East, when she passed out, hit a street sign, then drove through a ditch and into the cemetery.

Ross hit a flag pole, a large stone sign, a curb, at least eight grave stones and caused significant damage to a building and landscaping before her vehicle came to a rest, deputies say.

Investigators say Ross was under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of the crash.

Ross suffered what deputies call incapacitating injuries, and an ambulance took her to a nearby hospital.

Ross is now charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and criminal mischief. This is Ross' third DUI.
