Southern IL man sentenced for possession of a converted vehicle

SALINE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

A Gallatin County, Ill. man was sentenced to prison Wednesday for possessing a converted vehicle.

On July 8, the Saline County Attorney charged Tony D. Patrick, 30, of Equality, Illinois, with the crime, based on a report that he was found in possession of a stolen four-wheeler in Saline County.

On October 21, 2015, Patrick pleaded guilty in Saline County Court to possession of a converted vehicle.

Due to his criminal history, Patrick was eligible for, and received, an extended term sentence of 12 years, with two years of mandatory supervised release.

As a result of his plea agreement, Patrick will also be required to pay $7,500 in restitution to the victim.
