First Alert: Grab the sunglasses; temps could reach 80 today

It is Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015.

First Alert Weather Outlook:

Plan for another dry, cool morning with temps in the upper 40’s and lower 50’s. But by the afternoon, you'll want to keep the sunglasses close and leave the jacket behind, because there is plenty of sun. It'll be the perfect afternoon for a walk or other outdoor activities. Highs are expected to be around 80 degrees.

Making Headlines:

Making progress: Fire crews have contained a large fire at a pallet company on Hwy. H in Scott County, Mo. Investigators believe arson might be to blame for the blaze.

Search continues: A team of dogs will be out this morning in hopes of locating 77-year-old Cecil Hedrick. The man went missing more than 4 weeks ago, but last night a hunter located Hedrick's truck.

Under investigation: A Reidland, Ky man is in trouble with the law after allegedly setting the home he lived in on fire, and making other false reports to police.

1 win away: The Royals romped past the Toronto Blue Jays 14-2 Tuesday for a 3-1 lead in the American League Championship Series. That means if they win the next game, they'll be making another trip to the World Series.
