(KFVS) - Eleven beautiful young ladies recently competed for the title of 2015 Mardi Gras Queen in Pinckneyville.
The pageant was held at the Pinckneyville Community High School on Saturday, October 17th at 7:00pm.
Interviews were held at First United Presbyterian Church where the "Miss Photogenic" and the "Spirit of Mardi Gras " awards were decided.
During the stage competition the ladies modeled their custom designed Mardi Gras masks, swimsuits, and evening gowns.
Samantha Steely was crowned the 2015 Mardi Gras Queen along with the "Spirit of Mardi Gras" award.
Emily Kuberski was 1st runner up and "Miss Mask-erade" winner, followed by 2nd runner up Kelsey Zapp, 3rd runner up Jenna Hurst, and 4th runner up and "Miss Photogenic" Abby Miller.
Music was provided by Limelight DJ with Rachel Marks-2006 Mardi Gras Queen as emcee.
Intermission entertainment was provided by Upbeat Dance Studio.
