CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

A man pleaded guilty Monday to robbing a Cape Girardeau bank in August.

DePaul A. Bush, 36, was located in the parking lot of the West Park Mall by officers.

Bush was charged with robbery in the second degree for his involvement in robbing Regions Bank in Cape Girardeau on Aug. 14.

Police say the call came in around 3:09 p.m. at Regions Bank on Mount Auburn.

According to a bank employee, the suspect came into the front door of the business, wearing a hat and sunglasses.

The man approached her window, where he laid a deposit slip and a bag on the counter.

The employee stated the man then told her that this was a robbery, and demanded she give him hundreds and fifties.

She then opened her drawer and gave him what she had, when he said he wanted more.

She opened another drawer and gave him more money from it.

The man ran out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

As he ran, he dropped the bag of money after the dye pack in the bag went off.

A male subject matching the description of the bank robber, later identified as Bush was found in the parking lot of the West Park Mall by officers.

He later admitted to robbing Regions Bank.

Bush is due back in federal court for sentencing on January 19, 2016 at 10 a.m.
