MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A man was rescued off of a grain bin on Monday, Oct. 19 in Mississippi County, Missouri.
According to Charleston Department of Public Safety Chief Robert Hearnes, they received a call at around 12:49 p.m. from the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department that a man needed help on a grain bin.
The grain bin is located at the Alfalfa Center off of Highway Y in Mississippi County.
Chief Hearnes said Sikeston DPS crews assisted in the rescue and brought a ladder truck to use the help get the man off of the top of the grain bin.
He said the man was never trapped, but injured his leg with an auger and needed help getting down off of the bin.
A helicopter flew the injured man to a hospital for treatment.
