CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Officials with the Cape Girardeau Health Department say two people have tested positive for influenza in Cape Girardeau County.
According to officials, one person tested positive for Type A influenza and the other person tested positive for Type B influenza.
Health officials say it's imperative to frequently wash hands with soap and water. If you need to cough, they say to cough in your elbow; and if you use tissue, dispose of it properly.
The Kentucky Department for Public Health is also reporting the first two lab-confirmed influenza cases. These cases are in Jefferson and Kenton Counties.
