First Alert: Frost Advisories in effect for parts of Heartland; Grab the jacket for football Friday

It is Friday, Oct. 16.

First Alert Weather Outlook:

A cold front came through overnight, with a few rain drops. But by the time you get up and out this morning, it will be cool and clear. Brian’s First Alert Forecast shows it’s the beginning of sweater weather. You’ll definitely need a jacket or sweatshirt for Heartland Football Friday, and keep it close for the entire weekend. Brian’s still tracking possible frost for Saturday and Sunday!

Behind bars:  A Henderson, Co. deputy jailer is is accused of sodomy. According to Kentucky State Police, on Oct. 15 they responded to a report of a sexual assault at the Henderson County Detention Center.

Early morning fire: Fire crews in Herrin are busy battling a house fire. Multiple crews were dispatched to help battle the blaze.

Fatal shooting: A 21-year-old Hopkinsville, Kentucky man is behind bars this morning. He is accused in the shooting death of a 2-year-old boy in Clarsksville, Tennessee.
