'Monopolizing' Southeast's Homecoming parade

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

As you watch Southeast Missouri State University's Homecoming parade roll by on Saturday, you may be reminded of your childhood.

The October 17th event will feature more than 120 entries with the floats representing favorite board games.

The parade begins at 9:30 am at Capaha Park and heads east on Broadway to Main Street where it will turn south and end at Hutson's Fine Furniture.

The Homecoming theme is "It's Your Move."

Candyland, Battleship, Guess Who, Clue, Chess, Life, Mouse Trap, Monopoly, Operation, Hi Ho Cherry-O, Sorry, Uno, and Jumanji are among the themes participating organizations have chosen.

Joining the floats will be four marching bands, a fire truck, a boat representing the Missouri Department of Conservation and more.
