Carrier Mills, IL man sentenced to prison for home invasion

CARRIER MILLS, IL (KFVS) -

A man from Carrier Mills, Ill. was sentenced to 14 years in prison on Friday for home invasion.

Officials say Kyle M. Day, 24, allegedly broke into homes in both Carrier Mills and Harrisburg with another man on April 19, 2015.

The men were armed with a knife and allegedly stole various items and money from the home.

Both of the homeowners were at home at the time of the invasions.

No one was reported injured in the incidents.
