Wappapello Lake announces 2015 Mobility Impaired Deer Hunt

LAKE WAPPAPELLO, MO (KFVS) -

On October 17 and 18, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake, in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Conservation, the National Wild Turkey Federation, the Wake Foundation, the Quality Deer Management Association, and the Missouri National Guard are sponsoring a Mobility Impaired Modern Gun Deer Hunt.

To ensure a successful hunt, Corps' Road #33 will be closed to all vehicular traffic starting on the evening of Friday, October 16, however, this road will remain open to pedestrians.

All hunt areas will be marked for visitor safety and awareness; all visitors to these areas are urged to wear an outer garment of blaze orange.

Visitors to the Asher Creek, Wet Fork, Johnson Tract and state-managed wildlife are north of Highway 34 are urged to be vigilant and aware of all hunt activities.
