Free resume writing workshop offered in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

If your resume would not include 'great at writing resumes,' then we have a workshop for you!

Illinois State Representative Brandon Phelps, a Democrat from Harrisburg, is hosting a resume writing workshop for anyone interested. The Resume Writing and Review Workshop is co-hosted by Southern Illinois University.

It will take place at the Carbondale Civic Center on Thursday, October 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., located at 200 S. Illinois Avenue.

Phelps says it's important that people in southern Illinois are prepared to enter a competitive job market.

"Folks from Southern Illinois have so much to offer," Phelps said.  "And this workshop will allow them to work with career service professionals to highlight the skills that make them the best person for the job."

For more information or to RSVP, contact Phelps office at (618) 253-4189.
