2 Paducah men injured in car collision in McCracken Co.

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Two men from Paducah were injured on Thursday after a two-car crash in McCracken County.

Deputies, along with Lone Oak FD and Mercy Regional ambulance, responded to a collision in Leeder Bottoms at the intersection of US45 and KY1241 at around 1:45 p.m.

An investigation shows that Carl Mathis, 81, of Mayfield, was driving a truck when he collided with a car driven by Gary Tabor Jr., 31, of Paducah.

Tabor and his passenger, Brian Johnson, 47, also of Paducah, were transported by Mercy ambulance to a local hospital for multiple injuries.

Mathis and his passenger, Mattie Mathis, 86, also from Mayfield, were treated and released at the scene.

The intersection was blocked for around one hour for medical response and vehicle removal.

Tabor was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
