3 new culinary classes at WKCTC


Chef Erik Engelland, new culinary arts instructor at West Kentucky Community and Technical College, introduces three A' la carte classes this fall.

The courses will be held on Tuesday evenings Oct. 20, Nov. 3 and Nov. 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. Courses will be held in the Anderson Technical Building culinary kitchen and bistro with each class costing $45. Participants will learn how to make delicious meals and will have a chance to enjoy them when the class ends each week.

The series includes:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 20, Another One Bites the Crust. Participants will learn how to make simple and delicious flat breads and to toss dough like a pro.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 3, London Calling. Taste of London comes to the classroom.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 10, A Day in the Life of Pie. Learn techniques to bake the perfect pie crust. 

Participants need to bring an apron and wear closed toe shoes.
