Portageville woman facing marijuana charges

PORTAGEVILLE, MO (KFVS) -

A Portageville, Missouri woman is facing marijuana charges after police received a report of a suspicious vehicle.

According to Portageville Police Chief Ronnie Adams, at around 5:12 a.m. on Oct. 6, police got a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of MacArthur.

When they investigated the call, Chief Adams said they arrested 31-year-old Bridgett Moore.

He said formal charges were filed by New Madrid County Prosecuting Attorney Andrew Lawson. A warrant was issued for two counts of possession of controlled substance, except 35 grams or less of marijuana.

Moore is currently being held in the Pemiscot County Jail on a $10,000 cash only bond.
