MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department reports a man wanted for stealing a car was arrested Thursday night in Ballard County.

Jacob L. Stringer, of the West Paducah area, is suspected of stealing a 1998 Ford Explorer from a home on Blandville Road in western McCracken County on Monday.

The stolen vehicle was found Tuesday after it was abandoned in the Wildlife Management area near the McCracken/Ballard County line.

Stringer is also wanted in connection to an unrelated vehicle theft that occurred around September 4, 2015 from a location on Old Mayfield Road in the Hendron area of McCracken County.

That vehicle was a 1996 Chevrolet truck.

It was recovered later that evening, abandoned near a business in southern Paducah.

He is currently on felony probation after being convicted in McCracken Circuit Court of burglary, theft of property, 32 counts of criminal mischief, and another count of theft, all in 2014.

Stinger was transported from Ballard County and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
