Autumn weather returns for the last day of September! Crisp, cool and cloudy are the words Brian’s using in his First Alert Forecast. You’ll need a jacket in the morning with temps around 60-degrees. And while humidity will be way down, it will be pretty breezy today.

Early morning fireA Jackson County man is without a home after an early morning fire. He awoke just in time to gather up his three dogs. 

Death row: The only woman on Georgia's death row was executed early Wednesday, making her the first woman put to death by the state in seven decades.

Little shake: A a 2.7-magnitude earthquake rumbled parts of southeast Missouri just after 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Residents in East Prairie, Mo. report feeling the shake.

Mysterious itch: Oak mites are creating quite the itch across the Midwest. People are reporting bites after the bug reappeared for the first time in 10 years.
