Graves Co. Sheriff searching for man after drug, firearm bust

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

The Graves County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man after arresting four others on multiple drug and firearm charges.

Israel Nightingale, 41 of Sedalia, is wanted on charges related to a search of a home on Rt. 339 about one mile east of Sedalia, Ky.

On Monday, Sept. 28, deputies issued a search warrant to look inside the home. 

Before deputies could get inside the home, several people were able to run away.

During their investigation, deputies found a room filled with smoke where the group was allegedly smoking methamphetamine before deputies arrived.

At the time of the search, three small children were inside of the home.

Deputies found an unknown quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia inside of the home.

The sheriff's department reports deputies also located items used to make methamphetamine and an undisclosed amount of money.

Four people were arrested at the time of the raid.

  • Amanda Chambers, 33, of Sedalia, Ky. Charges include: trafficking a controlled substance in the 1st degree firearm enhanced, possession of a defaced firearm, possession of marijuana, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
  • John Nichols, 40, of Dukedom, Tenn. Charges include: trafficking a controlled substance in the 1st degree, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Phillip Morgan, 48, of Dukedom, Tenn. Charges include: possession of controlled substance in the first degree, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Jonathon Blevins, 39, Dukedom, Tenn. Charges include: possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia. Blevins also has an outstanding warrant from Graves County on a contempt of court charge.

The investigation is ongoing. Investigators say more charges are pending on the group.
