Wet and dreary day on tap; First Alert Forecast shows you'll need the umbrella

First Alert Weather Outlook:

You can expect a gray Tuesday. The morning will start off with rain for much of the Heartland, and it will likely stay cloudy most of the day. Brian’s First Alert Forecast shows there's a chance for scattered showers this afternoon, so keep your umbrella handy!

Making Headlines:

A first: Planned Parenthood will go before Congress for the first time today in defense of federal funding. This comes after the release of secretly recorded videos that show employees discussing the use of aborted fetal tissue in medical research.

Body identified: Search crews found the body of a missing boater in the Diversion Channel Monday afternoon. The boater has been identified as Brian Ourth, a 57-year-old from Chaffee. 

Under investigation: Police are investigating after two people were shot in separate instances while driving on Interstate 70 near St. Louis. In the latest incident, a 25-year-old man was shot in the buttocks.

Big question: Will the government shut down? That is the question facing Congress, but it depends on whether the Senate can a spending bill.
