POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) -

The guest speaker for the 4th annual Steak & Burger event in Poplar Bluff, Missouri will be St. Louis Cardinals' starting pitcher Michael Wacha.

The Boys and Girls Club of Poplar Bluff said topping big names such as Mike Matheny and Jim Edmonds was difficult, but the committee for this year's event is excited to bring in the 2015 Cardinals All-Star pitcher as the headline speaker.

The event will take place on Thursday, Nov. 19 at the Black River Coliseum. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. with our youth seated with community members, serving as an auctioneer for one prestigious steak dinner per table.

Don't worry if you don't win the steak, because there will also be hand-crafted gourmet burgers served as well.

If you are interested in joining and becoming a sponsor for the event, you can contact the Boys and Girls Club at 573-776-1690.

Dinner tickets are $75 and are available for purchase at the Boys and Girls Club Hentz Center, and at Kelly Spradling Farmers Insurance.

On Monday, Oct. 5, tickets will also be available at the Chamber of Commerce and the Black River Coliseum.

All proceeds will benefit the Poplar Bluff Boys and Girls Club of Poplar Bluff.
