One person was sent to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash in McCracken County, Kentucky.

According to deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, on Sept. 28, they were dispatched to Said Road in the area of Reidland Fields on a report of a single vehicle crash with injuries.

When they arrived, deputies found a 1992 GMC Sonoma in the ditch with its front end in a pond. They say they were unable to found anyone in or around the vehicle.

According to deputies, the investigation showed that the truck was going south on Said Road when it ran off the left side, drove along the said of the road before entering a tree line and coming to a rest in edge of the pond.

Deputies say they found 52-year-old Michelle Denniston walking down away from the crash with non-incapacitating injuries.

Denniston said that while driving from Reidland to Symsonia, she ran off the road and into the ditch.

She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Deputies say alcohol was a contributing factor. Denniston was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
