MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Paducah, Kentucky man is accused of breaking into a house on Friday, Sept. 25.

Frederick Bristol, 34, of Paducah, was charged with burglary second, tampering with physical evidence and second degree criminal mischief.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, at about 12 p.m. on Friday they received a 911 call on a possible burglary. A deputy responded to 500 Berger Road and talked to a witness of the burglary.

The witness told the deputy that as he approached a home that was supposed to be empty, he saw a man leaving the home with items under his arm. The man then allegedly went to a vehicle that was parked in a neighboring driveway, placed the items in the vehicle's trunk and used a black shirt to conceal the license plate.

The witness said the vehicle then left, going toward Lone Oak Rd.

Deputies say the witness was able to get a very good description of the vehicle.

While deputies collected evidence at the home, deputies say a Paducah police K-9 officer, found the vehicle that the witness described.

It was found at an apartment complex in the 800 block of McGuire in Paducah.

The K-9 officer said he saw who he believed was the owner of the vehicle go into one of the apartment buildings.

The owner of the vehicle, Bristol, was eventually found in an apartment at that address.

According to deputies, Bristol changed clothes from the time officers first saw him and when he was found a second time, allegedly concealing a shirt in which the witness had described.

Items that were believed to have been used in the burglary were also allegedly found in Bristol's vehicle.

Deputies say the witness identified Bristol as the man he saw leaving the home, as well as Bristol's vehicle being the vehicle that was driven away from the burglary.

Bristol was charged and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Deputies say Bristol is currently on probation for felony offenses, is on bond for domestic violence and has a long criminal history, including several convictions for first degree robbery (gun involved).
