STODDARD COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Highway 25 in Stoddard County is back open after an overturned truck lost its load of garbage.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 1995 Ford Ranger, driven by 76-year-old Randall Morris, of Bloomfield, turned into the path of a 2016 International tractor trailer driven by 52-year-old Scotty Hendrix, of Dexter.

Troopers say the tractor trailer hit the Ford Ranger in the rear and then drove off the road and overturned.

Hendrix was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to a Cape Girardeau hospital.

They say a wrecker service was on the scene to remove the debris and the truck. The scene is now clear and both lanes are open.

The Missouri Department of Transportation assisted with diverting traffic around the scene.
