Mississippi Co. man arrested for littering, trespassing

ANNISTON, MO (KFVS) -

A Mississippi County man has been arrested after a littering investigation by the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department.

The investigation began last week when the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint that Joseph Martin Bailey, 35, of Anniston, Mo., had dumped trash on private property near Anniston.

During the investigation, Bailey was contacted by police and told to pick up the trash from the private property.

When Bailey repeatedly failed to comply, A deputy submitted a report on the incident and obtained a warrant for Bailey’s arrest.

Bailey was found late Monday night, arrested, and taken to the Mississippi County Detention Center.

Bailey is charged with littering and trespass.

Bond set for Bailey at $8,500.
