MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Clarkline Road is back open between Husbands Road and Old Mayfield Road in McCracken County after a semi loaded with grain overturned Friday morning.

It happened near Gilbert Lane at 7:39 a.m.

Gregory Cruse, 44, of Melber, Ky was driving a 1999 International semi loaded with grain on Clarkline Road. Cruse told sheriff's deputies that he met an oncoming vehicle while traveling east on Clarkline. He said he got over too far and dropped the right side tires into a steep drop off.

He tried to drive back onto the roadway. However the drop off was too steep and it caused the semi to rollover onto its side, blocking one lane, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.

Cruse was taken to an area hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.

Due to that extensive clean up, Clarkline Road was closed between Husbands Road and Old Mayfield Road.
