Coach Paul Webber Memorial Run on Oct. 10

JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -

On your mark! Get set! GO! Those words will be heard on October 10 as Jackson kicks off the 1st Annual 5K run in memory of one of its most successful coaches.

The run on October 10 will benefit Coach Paul Webber's Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Webber, who died in 1998, helped build the Jackson football program into a powerhouse. He coached the Indians from 1969-1988 and led the team to its first state playoff game in 1972. Webber then went to Poplar Bluff and coached the Mules.

The scholarship fund in his name awards scholarships to promising students who embody the values Coach Webber held dear.

The race starts at the Jackson High School Football stadium.

Registration is at 8 a.m. with the race starting at 9.

Call Gail at 650-269-2204 or email info@coachwebber.com to learn more or register.

There is a discount for early registration.
