Lawsuit alleges Piedmont city officials harassed woman, son

PIEDMONT, MO (KFVS) -

A lawsuit has been filed against city officials in Piedmont, Missouri.

According to the ACLU, the problems trace back to April 2014 when Tina Warren and her son Bryan Jeffers' home was without water for six days while a water main on their street was being repaired.

The suit states that Warren called the city daily to ask when her water would be restored.

Warren and Jeffers allegedly also began receiving city water bills that were much higher than previous bills, so Warren started a petition for a city audit.

We contacted Mayor Bill Kirkpatrick. He said he didn't know a lawsuit had been filed and had no further comment.
