3 Sikeston teens arrested in connection to armed robbery

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) -

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety reports three teens were arrested on Wednesday from a robbery Monday morning.

On Monday at approximately 12:21 a.m., police responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 600 block of Sikes Street.

Officers spoke with the victim, who had just got off work and was walking home when he says he heard a noise behind him.

When he turned around a small group of men were running up behind him, with one apparently holding a handgun.

The men robbed the victim and ran down the alleyway in the area.

Police have been investigating this incident since Monday morning.

Police arrested Corey Kent, 17, of Charleston, Steven Mays, 17, from Sikeston, and Kyja Porter, 17, also from Sikeston, on Wednesday.

All three were charged with robbery and armed criminal action.

Kent was given $50,000 cash only bond.

Both Mays and Porter were given a $25,000 cash only bond.
