First Alert: Watch out for fog this morning; warmer this afternoon

It is Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015.

First Alert Weather Outlook:

Enjoy it while you can... today is the last day of summer, and Laura Wibbenmeyer’s First Alert Forecast says it’s going to be beautiful. Expect it to be cool this morning, with a little fog before the sun comes up. Then this afternoon will be warmer than yesterday, with very few clouds in the sky.

Making Headlines:

Local support: As the massive California wildfires rage on, support from the Heartland will soon be on its way.The executive director for the Cape Girardeau chapter of the Red Cross will leave for the area today.

Terminated: The Paducah Police Department is without one of its officers after Michael Redmon was fired. An investigation completed in July showed he used excessive force, something the chief of police calls "...inconsistent with training, policy and standards throughout law enforcement."

Will the saga end?: That is question in Kentucky after Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis allegedly altered marriage license forms issued to same-sex couples. Will she go back to court?
