Jackson Co., IL man arrested for fighting, resisting arrest


Officials in Jackson County, Illinois arrested a man Sunday morning for fighting and resisting arrest.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday to Club Coyote in DeSoto in reference to a 911 call.

Officials say there was loud talking or yelling heard on the call.

Deputies responded and found there had been a fight, and one person was bleeding.

The suspect, Michael Lee Carwile, 25, was quickly identified.

Carwile allegedly fought with a man inside the business and was escorted outside.

He then damaged two vehicles in the parking lot and fought with another person.

During the course of his arrest he also fought with deputies.

One deputy was treated at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for minor injuries and was later released,

Carwile is being charged with aggravated battery/public place, criminal damage to property Over $300, aggravated battery to peace officer, resisting a peace officer/injury to officer. All six are felony charges.

Carwile was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
