ANNA, IL (KFVS) -

The Anna Police Department is looking for a man suspected of stealing from a Walmart.

According to police, on July 31, a man left the Anna Walmart without paying full retail price for the items in his shopping cart.

An investigation revealed the man concealed high-dollar items inside of a large merchandise box, which came from the toy aisle. Police say the large toy was removed from its box before the items were concealed inside.

According to police, the items reported stolen include ink jet cartridges, teeth whitening strips and men's and women's razor refills.

Police say the man allegedly hid the items in the body at about 11 p.m. on July 30. He then returned to the store at about 8:20 a.m. on July 31. They say he paid the price listed on the toy box, but allegedly did not offer to pay for the merchandise previously hidden in the box.

The man was seen on video throughout the store.

Police say he was seen getting into a small, newer model maroon passenger car or small sport utility vehicle.

Walmart is reporting a $1,530.36 loss.

If anyone recognizes the man, they are asked to call police at 618-833-8571 and ask for Detective Watkins.
