Cape Girardeau woman returns lost purse

The kindness of a stranger on display in Cape Girardeau.

One woman recently left her purse at Walmart. Before she even noticed it was missing, a woman she'd never met dropped it off at her home.

Javone Bailey was doing some shopping at Walmart and as she was loading up her car she noticed a purse in a shopping cart rack.

She looked around waiting for someone to rush back and claim it, but when that didn't happen she took it upon herself to find the owner.

After talking to a Walmart employee who didn't know what to do with the purse, Javone looked for the driver's license inside and drove to the owner's home.

Once there, she sandwiched the purse between the front doors and left a note with her information.

"To go through all that trouble. She could have took my credit cards, my Brighton purse," said Linda Estes, who left her purse at Walmart. "I was just amazed and that's when I called her up. And when I heard her voice I thought, I like this lady.

Javone wants others to know that there are still good, honest, Christian people out there.

And Linda says, "I hope they can see how God worked to bring us together and be friends."

Javone hopes this inspires others to do good as well.
