Cape Girardeau girl with cancer performs her own version 'Shake It Off'

ST. LOUIS (KFVS) -

A 12-year-old Cape Girardeau girl with cancer performs her version of Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" while in a St. Louis hospital.

Lorelai Clubb, 12, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on April 20. She has spent most of her time since then at Children's Hospital in St. Louis.

A video recently uploaded to YouTube by St. Louis Children's Hospital shows Lorelai singing her own lyrics to Swift's poplar pop song describing her time at the hospital.

Lorelai's father, JP Clubb, says she spent a month re-writing and then singing and making the music video.

Clubb hopes that the video encourages Swift to visit the Children's Hospital and Lorelai when she's in St. Louis for a concert at the end of September.

Lorelai underwent a bone marrow transplant on Aug. 18. Her father says her treatment is going well and she seems to have taken the transplant very well.
