Warmer today; First Alert Forecast shows rain headed this way

It is Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015.

First Alert Weather Outlook:

If you're not ready for full on fall weather, you can look forward to a warmer Wednesday with lots of sun. Laura Wibbenmeyer’s First Alert Forecast has temps in the 80’s, a little warmer than yesterday, dry and sunny. But you might want to get outdoor chores done now.  There's a chance for rain over the weekend.

Making Headlines:

Deadly crash: Kansas City police say one person is dead and six children are critically injured after a car accident that happened amid a gunfight.

Pending decision: The Grand American, one of the largest shooting events in the world, could leave Sparta, Illinois if the World Shooting Complex closes because of the Illinois budget deadlock.

Against the law: An Illinois woman is recovering after her car was hit by a train in Galatia. Police say she failed to yield for the oncoming train, that's why she was issued a ticket.

One more chance: Kim Davis, who returned to work following a stint in jail for defying a federal judge, has one more request for reprieve pending before the appeals court.

What's trending:

Crowdsourcing: Using GoFundMe to raise money for McNuggets might sound "ridiculous", but apparently that was the point for one college student.
