CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

The SEMO District Fair offers plenty to do for everyone. But one area gained a lot of attraction.

A memorial photo exhibit of Missouri's fallen service people is displayed inside the Arena building.

The display is called Remembering Our Fallen.

The opening day brought in many visitors who viewed the pictures and shared stories with one another.

To some, it brought tears. To others, it brought smiles.

To many, they were thankful and appreciative for those men who have their all.

"Every time I see a picture of him, I always think about it. I mean it's a honor that he's up there knowing that somebody actually takes the time to honor him and his memory," Jonathan Jones, friend of fallen soldier Rickey Bell.

The wall is dedicated to the men and women from Missouri that paid the ultimate sacrifice during this current war on terror.

"It kind of chokes me up to see somebody so young in some instances there to lose their life protecting our freedoms," Jerry Hampton said.

The exhibit contains personal and military photographs of soldiers from around the state.

The display contains over 300 personal stories of American heroes.

The wall will remain on display throughout the length of the fair free of charge.
