SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) -

Some little Sikeston residents honored first responders on Sept 11.

The Sikeston R-6 Kindergarten and Early Childhood Center invited Sikeston DPS to eat with them on Sept. 11.

The luncheon is held every year on Sept. 11 in honor of those who lost their lives responding to the terror attacks in New York.

The lunch with preschoolers and kindergarteners is an effort to develop trust between the children and first responders. The day also served to teach the kids basic facts about first responders.

As you can see in these pictures. The first responders and children has a great time.
