Authorities arrest 24 people in Poplar Bluff area

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) -

On Wednesday, several agencies arrested 24 people in a sweeping warrant round-up in Poplar Bluff and parts of Butler County.

The arrests result from a two-year investigation between the Poplar Bluff Police Department, Butler County Sheriff's Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Drug Enforcement Administration and the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force.

Several illegal substances were purchased as part of the investigation including methamphetamine, heroin and prescription drugs.

The following suspects were arrested during the operation:

  • Jessie Austin, 2 counts sale of controlled substance, $100,000 bond
  • Jesse Barnes, 1 count sale of controlled substance, $100,000 bond
  • Albert Blackmon, 1 count sale of controlled substance, $100,000
  • Kailey Cannon, 1 count sale of controlled substance, $100,000
  • Guy M. Conner, 1 count sale of controlled substance
  • Mariah Cooper, 1 count sale of controlled substance, $50,000
  • Mark Craft, 1 count possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute, $50,000
  • Brenda S. Curry, 2 counts sale of a controlled substance
  • Jesse Curtis, 1 count possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, $50,000
  • Michael J. Davis, 1 count possession of a controlled substance
  • Sandra Dennis, 1 count sale of controlled substance, $100,000
  • Shaneckria Gainwell, 1 count possession of a controlled substance, $25,000
  • Kenny Jackson, 4 counts sale of a controlled substance, $100,000
  • Brenda Jones, 1 count sale of a controlled substance, $100,000
  • Danielle McClellon, 2 counts sale of a controlled substance, $50,000
  • Rose Myers, 1 count sale of a controlled substance, $100,000
  • Kelly Royer, 1 count sale of a controlled substance, $100,000
  • Christa Simpson, 1 count sale of a controlled substance, $100,000
  • Tracy Smith, 2 count possession of a controlled substance/1 count possession with intent, $50,000
  • Wanda Stevens, 1 count sale of controlled substance, $100,000
  • Jentry Sturgeon, 1 count sale of a controlled substance, $50,000
  • Kyle Vaughn, 1 count sale of a controlled substance, $50,000
  • Charity H. Watson, 1 count sale of a controlled substance, $50,000
  • Desra Williams, 3 counts possession of a controlled substance/1 count possession with intent, $50,000

The investigation is ongoing and officials expect further arrests.
