The Paducah Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying two women suspected of two thefts in the area of Kentucky Oaks Mall.

At 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a woman told police she had left her purse in the back room of her place of employment at the mall.

She said that when she went to get her wallet to go to lunch, it was gone.

Reports said the woman’s debit card was used at a nearby convenience store for about $75 in purchases.

At 5 p.m. on Tuesday, another woman told police she was notified by her credit card company of possible fraud.

Reports said the woman’s credit card had been stolen earlier while she was shopping at a business on Jordan Drive.

Two women were captured on surveillance video using the card to purchase prepaid Visa cards totaling more than $5,500 in value.

The same two women are suspected in both thefts.

Anyone with information about their identities is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270-444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL.
